INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

Building a successor cadre The purpose of this programme is to nurture, train, and mentor young feminists who are interested in upholding women’s human rights. We achieve this goal by giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in all of UAF-Africa’s programmes. Interns receive close supervision and mentoring by the board and staff.  UAF Africa continuously evaluates its internship programme in order to improve the mentoring processes and achieve intern satisfaction. The UAF-Africa internship is highly sought after. Interns are admitted a year in advance and applications are received from all over the world. Priority is accorded to African nationals. UAF-Africa will starting 2008, financially support one intern for eight weeks with travel, rent, food and accommodation in Nairobi. One slot is available for international interns who are however asked to finance their travel and accommodation while in Kenya.
